Leonardo Cano (Murcia, 1977) is a writer, with a degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature.

Winner of the Creajoven Prize of the Region of Murcia, his first novel, La edad media (Candaya, 2016) («A spectacular novel. Not only for what it says, but for the literary quality with which it does so.» Pozuelo Yvancos, ABC Cultural), was a finalist for the Premier Roman de Chambéry prize for best debut European novel.

He is currently a creative writing teacher, after founding the Club Renacimiento school, and directs the podcast Sala de Catas, for the Estrella de Levante brand. Este es el núcleo (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2024), winner of the LV Premio Internacional de Novela Ciudad de Barbastro, is his second novel.
