Pepa Aguar (València, 1964) grew up in Benetússer until she left for Barcelona at the age of eighteen. She studied Information Sciences, Political Sciences and received a doctorate in Political Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She is a professor of Communication Skills and coordinator of a master’s degree at the UAB.
She has combined her passion for literature with journalistic and communication consultancy collaborations for public and private entities; among others, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Secretariat for Immigration of Catalonia. El que em queda de tu (Edicions 62, 2021) was her first novel, winner of the Joanot Martorell Prize 2020, followed by Un grapat de silencis (Edicions 62, 2025).
