«Liquid moon, watchful moon, spring moon, carry my message your lady, she who will sleep in the clearings and in the rivers. I beg you to guide me on my journey and to accept me among your own.»
Delia is the daughter of a war hero and a woman who betrayed her people for love. She has grown up between secrets and half-truths about her family history. Following the death of her mother, she meets Enara, the priestess of an ancient, outlawed religion, who offers her the chance to become her apprentice and embark on a journey to resurrect the lost magic of her people. But does she have the right to pursue this journey when her parents swore to destroy magic and the women who practiced it?
To achieve their goal, Delia and Enara will have to make a pilgrimage through each of the northern regions and renew the goddess’ pact with the earth before the end of spring. However, they will not be able to do it alone. The rite requires the participation of the wise women of each region, practically extinct after the war, or living outside their art.
During her journey, Delia will unravel the truth about her origins and the woman her mother was, as well as establishing various alliances and feuds whose roots go deeper than she could have ever imagined.
