Adrià Ferrer Marquès (El Marquès), is a young illustrator. Coming from the world of music (singing with the band The PennyCocks) he started designing album covers, posters and T-shirts for bands both here and abroad as a teenager. His style combines the graphics of mid-century poster art with the aesthetics of screen-printing techniques, mixed with the elegance of jazz covers and a certain beatnik touch.
A creator with an undeniably retro feel, he continues to work for the world of music, combining his personal work with editorial publications and advertising, winning the Junceda Catalan Illustration Award for Best Children’s Fiction Book in 2020. In 2022 he won the Junceda Award for Adult Fiction.
His collaborators include Danone, Campari, Cinzano, Codorniu, Volcom, Penguin Random House, Editorial Planeta, Generalitat de Catalunya, Ajuntament de Barcelona, Ayuntamiento de Madrid, Barcelona Design Week, Museu del Disseny, FAD Barcelona, Biblioteques de Barcelona, La Pedrera – Casa Milà, Museu d’Història de Catalunya, Filmin, Beach London Agency or El Segell del Primavera among others.
