La luz de la dinamo

The Light of the Dynamo | Fundación José Manuel Lara, 2017

» VII Machado Brothers Iberian-American Award for Poetry

Nuria Barrios’ new book of poems takes readers to a place where life feeds equally on light and shadows.

La Luz de la Dinamo is a book of poems about strange love. It is divided into three parts, three stages on a road: love, childhood, death. The three ages of life appear dislocated, their chronological order overturned, to show the fragile barriers between them: love and death abide in childhood, childhood and love throb in death.

PRESS

«A deep and subtle book.» Manuel Rico, Babelia

«The rhythm, the alliteration, the false ingenuousness are a curse and a beautiful nexus with the unknown.» Marta Sanz, Babelia

«A lullaby for wounded adults. Nuria Barrios moves us.» Francisco Javier Irazoki, El Cultural

«A scarred book, flayed, but with moving tenderness.» Juan Cobos Wilkins, Mercurio
