Albert Forns Canal (Granollers, 1982) is a journalist and a writer. He has worked at Barcelona’s Centro de Cultura Contemporánea (CCCB) and he collaborates regularly with several media outlets.

His debut novel was awarded the Documenta Novel Award, Albert Serra (la novel·la, no el cineasta) (Empúries, 2012). His second novel, Jambalaia (Anagrama, 2016) was awarded the Anagrama Novel Prize in Catalan. He is also the author of the poetry collection Ultracolors (LaBreu Edicions, 2013) and the novel Abans de les cinc som a casa (Edicions 62 – Destino, 2020), winner of the Sant Joan Novel Award.

In 2023 he published I ens va caure el cel damunt (Edicions 62, 2023), a report on the bombings in Catalonia during the Civil War.
