Silvana Vogt (Morteros, 1969) lived in various cities across Argentina before settling in Buenos Aires, where she studied philosophy, psychology, and radio production. In 2002, she moved to Barcelona. She is the author of La mecànica de l’aigua (Edicions de 1984), written in Catalan. In 2018, she received a Montserrat Roig Writing Fellowship (Barcelona/UNESCO) and resumed writing in her native language. She owns a bookstore, Cal Llibreter, in Sant Just Desvern. The Fine Art of Creating Monsters is her second novel.
