Juan Bonilla has published over a dozen short-story collections, non-fiction books and novels. Among his titles, one should not fail to mention the short-story collections El que apaga la luz (Pre-Textos, 1994), Je me souviens (Algaida, 2005), a special homage to G. Perec, El estadio de mármol (Seix Barral, 2005) and the novels Nadie conoce a nadie (Ediciones B, 1996), which was made into a very successful film and the widely translated and Los príncipes nubios (Seix Barral, 2003 - Biblioteca Breve Novel Award and Prix littéraire des Jeunes européens).
After the publication of El tiempo es un sueño pop (RBA, 2012 - Gaziel Biographies and Memoirs Award), a biography of the Spanish writer Terenci Moix, his latest published works are the novel Prohibido entrar sin pantalones (Seix Barral, 2013), awarded with the I Vargas Llosa Biennal Novel Award and the short history collection Una manada de ñús (Pre-Textos, October 2013).
